Health department and corporation workers are toiling to their maximum capacity to ensure provision of essential requirements for the residents of the Chinnammal Street.
Coimbatore: Chinnammal Street in KK Pudur has been reporting many cases in the last few days leading to the area being declared as a containment zone. Health department and corporation workers are toiling to their maximum capacity to ensure provision of essential requirements for the residents of the Chinnammal Street.
The workers though had to deal with many residents who were seen arguing with the corporation staff that they wanted to go out for buying essentials. They then placated the arguing residents and helped them get their needs with the help of a supervisor who rode his bike to fetch vegetables, medicines and other necessary commodities. An Aavin milk vendor was also arranged to distribute milk to the area.
Irked by this irresponsible behaviour of a few, other concerned residents requested police support to keep the trouble makers at bay and stop them from interrupting the all-important work of containment.
It is to be noted that the area was isolated after nearly 10 persons tested positive from Chinnammal Street in the last few days.
