Residents of ward 40 and 41 of Bharathi Nagar within the city limits of Tirupur laid siege to the Nallur Zonal office and demanded regular supply of water.
More than 500 families reside in the two wards. The protestors alleged that water supply to the area is provided only once in 12 days. They requested the Nallur Zone Inspector to visit the area and conduct an inspection and make arrangements for regular supply of water to the wards.
