Under the orders of the Coimbatore District Collector K. Rajamani, the COVID-19 prevention special officer Balakrishnan conducted inspection at Valparai in the presence of Tahsildar Raja.
Restaurants, lodges, banks, bus stands and many other places were visited by the special officer to observe how the COVID-19 prevention measures are being undertaken. During the surprise inspection, he also checked whether people are wearing face masks, maintaining social distancing and using disinfectants to keep themselves safe.
He also created awareness among the public about COVID-19. Deputy Tahsildar Moorthy and VAO Vijay Amirtharaj present for the inspection.
