An all-party meeting to express their opposition for the posting of ADSP Kumar to the Nilgiris was organised and led by the DMKDistrict Secretary P.M. Mubarak. The DMK, Congress, VCK and all other parties except the AIADMK participated in this meeting.
A resolution was passed to hold a second-level meeting in a couple of days to decide on staging protests if the order to post ADGP Kumar to Nilgiris is not revoked.
The DMK District Secretary P.M. Mubarak, Ooty MLA Ganesan, Gudalur MLA Dravidamani, former Khadi Board Department Minister K. Ramachandran and many others participated in the meeting.
