Under the orders of the Coimbatore District Police Commissioner a 'Containment zone monitoring Squad' vehicles have been launched specifically to raise awareness and to prevent the entry of outsiders into the containment zones.
Earlier the containment zones were monitored on two and four wheel patrol vehicles. Now, under the orders of the District Police Commissioner Sumtih Sharan, Containment Zone Monitoring Squad vehicles for four subdivisions have been launched.
The Containment Zone Monitoring Squad vehicle will consist of one Sub Inspector and two policemen who will raise awareness on loudspeakers from morning to night. Similarly, they will take action to prevent the entry of outsiders into the containment zones.
The District Police Commissioner Sumith Sharan, Deputy Commissioner Balaji Saravanan, and Assistant Commissioner Cedric Manuel inspected the vehicles and gave advice to the policemen.
