Dilip Sharma (39), who hails from Theni district, is staying with his family in Tirupur's Karuvampalayam area and does fusing work in hosiery units. As he is unemployed due to the lockdown, he started vending vegetables and coconuts, door to door.
This being the case, a car, which was speeding in the Kongu Main Road, SV Colony in Tirupur, collided head-on with the vegetable cart and rushed away from the spot. The people then rescued Dilip Sharma and took him to a nearby hospital. CCTV footage recorded at the time of the accident has now gone viral on social media.
