Tirupur District has been facing an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases. To control the spread of the virus, various prevention measures have been undertaken on behalf of the District Administration and the Corporation administration.
As a part of this, the District Collector conducted a sudden inspection at NGR Road in Palladam. He inspected if the shops were maintaining social distancing and following the government issued guidelines.
The District Collector also instructed the shopkeepers to ensure that social distancing is being maintained between customers. He further noted the vehicles passing through the area to ensure that all motorists were wearing face masks. He also spoke about COVID-19 to people who were without face masks, provided them face masks and advised them not to step out without face masks.
The District Collector discussed COVID-19 prevention measures with the Palladam Municipality Commissioner Ganesan. Palladam Tahsildar Sivasubramaniam, Municipal Commissioner Ganesan and Health Department officials were present for the inspection.
