Coimbatore: In a first of its kind attempt complainants at the SP's office will be enquired on Zoom app in a bid to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
Coimbatore: In a first, complainants and grievances are being received at the Coimbatore SP office through Zoom, an online platform with audio and video conferencing facilities.
With the spread of COVID-19 increasing in the state, workplaces are adapting to online methods to carry out their work. However, employees at government offices are left with next to nil chances of using such online facilities.
Breaking the stereotype, the office of the Superintendent of Police here has shown the way by implementing online services to register complaints, thereby reducing physical interaction.
Last week, an employee of the Coimbatore SP office tested positive for COVID-19. In a bid to reduce such incidents, complainants are made to sit in front of laptops and speak to the officials through Zoom video conferencing.

User-friendly arrangements have been made for the public to communicate with the SP and register their complaints via Zoom app from the reception room. The SP has been communicating with the complainants over the Zoom app and has been taking action upon it.
This arrangement at the Coimbatore SP office is first of its kind in Tamil Nadu.
