Abdul Samad (32) employed as a supervisor at a private knitting company in Tirupur belongs to the Sathya Nagar Virivu area on the Tirupur Kangayam road. He married Nisha Banu (26), two years ago and they have two children Rashiq Farid (7) and Rayan (2).
Due to lack of employment for the past three months Abdul Samad kept pestering his wife to go to her parents' house and get some money as they allegedly did not have any left. He also fought with his wife over this issue.
When Abdul arrived home yesterday night he kept parroting the money issue and forced Nisha to go get money from her parents. Nisha Banu refused to do so and this led to a heated argument between the couple.
Following this, an infuriated Abdul Samad struck Nisha with a pressure cooker that was lying nearby leading to Nisha collapsing on the floor, Unable to control his anger even after this, he took a knife and sliced Nisha's throat.
Coming to his senses after this, Abdul went to Tirupur North Police station and surrendered.

However, as the incident took place within the jurisdictional limits of Tirupur South police station, Abdul was handed over to them.
The police who visited the crime scene retrieved Nisha's body and sent it to the Tirupur Government Hospital for postmortem. A case has been filed on Abdul who confessed to his crime. Investigation is pending in this matter.
