COVID-19: 24 new cases in Coimbatore; three from Kuniyamuthur and two prisoners tested positive

On June 29, 24 new cases are reported in the district including three cases from Kuniyamuthur categorised as high risk contact and two cases from Central Prison with travel history from Chennai. Three more people are tested positive for COVID-19 from KK Pudur where several cases categorised as cluster are reported.

Details of patients tested positive on June 29:

1. A 39-year-old patient from Kamatchipuram, Ondipudur with no travel history.

2. A 46-year-old female from Teachers’s colony, Chinniyampalayam with no travel history.

3. A 38-year-old male from Sakthi Nagar, Neelambur with no travel history.

4. A 37-year-old male from VVC layout in RS Puram with no travel history but reported to have visited a grocery shop.

5. A 65-year-old male from Nadar Street, Townhall with no travel history.

6. A 45-year-old female from Amman Kulam Road, Paapanaickenpalayam with no travel history.

7. A 22-year-old male from Texmo, Vellakinar Privu, categorised under low risk contact

8. A 21-year-old male from Texmo, Vellakinar Privu, categorised under low risk contact

9. A 42-year-old male from Central Prison with travel history from Chennai, Puzhal.

10. A 38-year-old male from Central Prison with travel history from Chennai, Puzhal.

11. A 50-year-old male from Chettipalayam Veedhi, Townhall with no travel history.

12. A 43-year-old female from Anna Nagar, Kauvdampalayam with no travel history.

13. A 25-year-old male from Pillaiyarpuram with no travel history.

14. A 42-year-old male categorised under cluster (area not available)

15. A 18-year-old male from Chinnammal Street, KK Pudur categorised under cluster

16. A 43-year-old female from Chinnammal Street, KK Pudur categorised under cluster

17. A 41-year-old male from Chinnammal Street, KK Pudur categorised under cluster

18. A 50-year-old male from Vetrivel Nagar, Kauvdampalayam with no travel history.

19. A 70-year-old male from Rajan Nagar, Kauvdampalayam with no travel history.

20. A 41-year-old male from Abirami Nagar, No:4 Veerapamdi with no travel history.
