Coimbatore: Perumal (38) hails from Periyakarappanur in Madurai district. The married man has two children. After the death of his wife six years ago, he has been working at a private chips company at Karadivavi Thottam near Perur in Coimbatore.
It is said that he is an alcoholic. He drank too much of liquor yesterday, went to his company in the evening and laid there. It was found later that was dead. The owner of the company then informed the police. The police registered a case and investigated.
It is said that there was a delay in registering a FIR. By then, the friends of the deceased gathered in front of the police station causing a stir. Later a FIR copy was provided and the body was sent for autopsy.
