Tirupur: A lorry carrying Rs.47 lakhs worth of cumin weighing 23 tonnes, from Gujarat to Cochin toppled near Palladam. Injured drivers have been admitted at a private hospital in Palladam.
Tirupur: A lorry carrying Rs.47 lakhs worth of cumin weighing 23 tonnes, from Gujarat to Cochin toppled near Palladam. Injured drivers have been admitted at a private hospital in Palladam.
The lorry left Gujarat with two drivers, on Friday. When it reached Panapalyam near Palladam this morning, the lorry driver lost control of the vehicle and drove it into a road divider causing the lorry to roll over.
Both the drivers sustained severe injuries and have been admitted at a private hospital for treatment. The 23 tonnes of cumin sacks in the lorry are being guarded by the police.
