Corporation Commissioner inspects various places in Coimbatore for Coronavirus preventive measures
Coimbatore: Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer J. Shravan Kumar inspected various places in Coimbatore for Coronavirus preventive measures including Ward 94, Edayarpalayam and advised people to wear face masks and follow social distancing.
He then visited the Ukkadam Fish market and also inspected the PCR testing camp that has been set up.
Following this, he went to Telungupalayam area which is isolated along and ordered the authorities concerned to take necessary action to ensure essential commodities are available to the public. A flying squad accompanied him.
The Corporation Commissioner and the flying squad also advised the Ukkadam fish market traders to follow the COVID norms.
Deputy Corporation Commissioner S. Mathuranthagi along with a flying squad inspected the isolated area of Thudiyalur Ward 2 in the Viswanathapuram area. North zone Assistant Commissioner and several officers were also present
Corporation Commissioner and the flying squad also visited Ward 6, in the West zone. They visited shops and the market area on the Mettupalayam road and spoke over a PA system requesting people to follow the government guidelines.
It is to be noted that per the directions of the Corporation Commissioner, coronavirus prevention measures are being monitored by flying squads. The squad confiscated a private bus in the Ukkadam area for not following social distancing and filed a case at the Ukkadam Police Station.
