COVID-19: 9 new cases in Tirupur district; four from Udumalpet
Tirupur: With nine new COVID positive cases in Tirupur district on June 27, the total count of patients has rose to 147.
According to reports, of the 47 cases, 29cases are active and are under treatment at ESI hospital and other government approved private hospitals.
Out of the nine cases, four cases are from VV layout in Udumalpet, one case.from Thenampalayam, one from Anjarpalayam Pudur, two cases from Puliyangadu, Veerapandi and one case from Ram Nagar, Kangayam. Notably, all 9 cases have travel history to other districts.
The Collector has informed that 2900 people are under home quarantine, of which 285 people are added to the list, today. And, 156 people have successfully completed the 14 day quarantine period, he added.
462 people were subjected to PCR testing, today.
