Jayaraj and Fenix, the father-son duo who were taken by the Sathankulam police for inquiry as they kept their shop open past the lockdown time died under suspicious circumstances during custody.
The SDPI staged the protest at the CTC corner on the Tirupur Kangayam road and demanded justice for the suspicious deaths of Jayaraj and Fenix. They demanded that murder charges must be filed against the policemen who were responsible for the murders.
Additionally, they also demanded that proper distribution of items must be undertaken at ration shops during the current crisis.
