Three days back, the female cop returned from Chennai to Tirupur where she tested positive for the virus. Her husband, a Tirupur North Police station SI, also underwent testing the results of which came out negative.

However, with Tirupur North police station being a movement-heavy spot, authorities decided to close it down in a bid to prevent the spread of the virus.
