Chennai: The AIADMK has announced that Rs.25 lakhs financial aid will be provided to the family of Jayaraj and Fenix who died under police custody in Saathankulam.
In a notice issued by the Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palanisamy on behalf of the AIADMK, he wrote, "The death of Jayaraj and his son Fenix who were taken for investigation by the police department is most unfortunate and extremely painful. The AIADMK will not permit such heart wrenching incidents to occur. The AIADMK expresses its heartfelt condolences to the family who have lost a father and a son, two pillars of the family! We pray for the souls of Jayaraj and Fenix."
He further added, "The AIADMK, which acts as a place of refuge and a fortress to the citizens of Tamil Nadu, will provide Rs.25 lakhs as financial aid to the affected family. We assure the people of TN that we will work tirelessly for the welfare of the people and, with the blessings of Amma, we will live up to the confidence of the people and establish justice."
