Tirupur: With 23 active COVID positive cases in Tirupur district, 14 new positive cases have been reported, on Friday.
As of June 26, the district has reported 141 positive COVID cases, of which 23 are presently treated at ESI hospital in Coimbatore and other private hospitals.
Of the 14 new cases, six people are reported to have travel history to Chennai, while two others have arrived to Tirupur from other districts and the remaining are indigenous cases.
The Tirupur District Collector, K Vijayakarthikeyan has informed that a total of 2771 cases are under home quarantine, of which 559 cases have been added, today.
And, 67 people who were under home quarantine have successfully completed the 14 day isolation period, he added.
The Collector also noted that 687 people have been subjected to PCR testing.
