Coimbatore: The martyrs of the Indian army who died in the Galwan Valley attack were remembered and paid homage today at the Congress office in Coimbatore.
Coimbatore: The martyrs of the Indian army who died in the Galwan Valley attack were remembered and paid homage today at the Congress office in Coimbatore.
On June 15, Indian army was attacked by the Chinese army in the Galwan valley in which 20 Indian soldiers were killed. The entire country has been paying homage to these martyrs.
In Coimbatore, the martyrs men were paid a silent tribute on behalf of the Congress at various places. Homage was paid to the army men near the Gandhi statue in front of the Coimbatore Congress Office. A floral tribute was also undertaken on the photographs of the deceased army personnel.
The event was led by the Congress West Zone State Working President Mayura Jayakumar. Former Thondamuthur MLA M.N. Kandasamy and many others took part in the event.
