The Health Department have taken seven policemen at Kolacombai Police station and one worker at the Coonoor Tahsildar's office for COVID testing. They were taken in an ambulance to the Ooty Government Hospital today.

Following this, the Kolacombai police station was closed down temporarily and was moved to the Kendhala area. Similarly, the Coonoor Tahsildar's office main entrance was also sealed.
The Thuthurmattam area in Kolakkambai has reported a few positive COVID-19 cases. Seven cops at the station who come from the same area have been taken for tests. A Taluk Office worker who was involved in COVID-19 work has also been sent to Ooty for diagnostics.
Due to this the police station and the taluk offices were sealed, causing a stir in the area.
