Youth arrested for selling ganja in Coimbatore


Coimbatore: A 21-year-old man was arrested by the police for selling ganja near Saravanampatti-Thudiyalur road, on Tuesday.

Acting upon a tip-off, the Saravanampatti police during a patrol found a person suspiciously standing near a restaurant on the Saravanampatti-Thudiyalur road. When confronted by police it was found that he had hidden 1 kg 100 grams of ganja for sale. 

The accused has been identified as S Lilain Jeff (21) from Poonga Nagar, Chitra, Coimbatore. 

Following which the police booked a case and arrested him. He was later produced before a judge who remanded him.under judicial custody

 

It may be recalled that in the recent past several ganja peddlers were arrested in the same area which has several educational institutions and IT companies.
