Elderly man arrested under POCSO Act in Podanur
Coimbatore: An elderly man who wrote a smutty letter to a minor girl near Podanur, Coimbatore, has been arrested and booked under the POCSO Act.
Mohammed Bahir Basha, 66, who lives near Podanur, Coimbatore, passed a lewd letter to a 16-year-old girl who lived nearby.
The girl gave it to her mother. The girl's parents then informed the family of Mohammed Bahir Basha. The elderly man has once again threatened the girl, after his family had denounced him and apologized for his unsavoury actions, and pleaded with the girl's parents to put an end to the issue.
Following this, the frightened girl was hesitant to venture out of her home. A complaint was made by the girl's parents at the All Women Police Station. After inquiring into the complaint, the cops arrested the elderly man under the POCSO Act.
