Famous yoga guru Baba Ramdev's company Patanjali ‘Coronil and Swasari’ and claimed the clinical trials on COVID patients showed 100 per cent efficacy.

Coimbatore: Famous yoga guru Baba Ramdev's company Patanjali unveiled purported Coronavirus cure ‘Coronil and Swasari’ and claimed the clinical trials on COVID patients showed 100 per cent efficacy.

Not just an immunity booster but a 100% cure, asserted yoga guru Baba Ramdev on Tuesday as he introduced what Patanjali calls as a premier ayurvedic medicine against the deadly virus, even as scientists and doctors the world over are reeling under the efforts to bring forth a cure for the highly infective virus.

“The whole country and the world was waiting for medicine or vaccine for coronavirus. We are proud to announce that the first Ayurvedic, clinically controlled trial-based evidence and research-based medicine has been prepared by the combined efforts of Patanjali Research Centre and NIMS, Ramdev said at a press conference in Haridwar.

Meanwhile, the Ayush Ministry has directed Patanajali to not advertise their COVID cure until it is examined and validated in a statement issued today, "Ministry has taken cognizance of news in media about Ayurvedic medicines developed for #COVID19 treatment by Patanjali Ayurved Ltd. The company asked to provide details of medicines & to stop advertising/publicising such claims till the issue is duly examined."
