Coimbatore District Police seize cars from Chennai without e-pass
Coimbatore: Coimbatore District Police seized cars from Chennai which tried to enter the city without e-passes. Vehicle inspections have been intensified in all state and district borders in the Coimbatore district as a full curfew has been issued in Chennai.
Various measures are being carried out in the Coimbatore district by the Superintendent of Police, Sujit Kumar, under the guidance of the West Region IGP Periaiah,and the Coimbatore DIGKarthikeyan.
In the meantime, four cars attempting to enter the Coimbatore district from Chennai without e-passes and 21 cars carrying persons more than the allowed numbers have been confiscated at the checkpoint near Thekkalur in Coimbatore district, between 6 AM and 6 PM.
On behalf of the Coimbatore Police Department, the public is requested to avoid such violations as the vehicles will continue to be confiscated from those who enter the district without e-passes. Also vehicles carrying an excessive number of persons than allowed will be seized.
