On receiving information regarding gambling for money at R.S. Puram, Ukkadam Bypass Road and Saravanampatti, the R.S. Puram police conducted an inspection.
Rs.1,25,100 was confiscated from 15 people who were arrested for gambling near the Kamaraja Puram Public Toilet.
Similarly men involved in gambling on the Ukkadam Bypass Road were also arrested by the Selvapuram police and Rs.71,400 was seized from them.
The Saravanam[patti police filed cases against after raiding a place where 18 gamblers were playing and seized the money involved from them.
Cases have been filed against all the gamblers who were arrested and later released
A total of Rs.1,96,840 has been confiscated from them.
