Coimbatore: In a speeding-vehicle accident, a man was killed and his son sustained serious injuries. Nataraj belongs to Mariyamman Koil street in Annur in Coimbatore district. He was traveling with his son Daranidharan on his bike on the Kariyampalayam-Karamadai road.

Kandaswamy who was riding a two-wheeler raced fast and collided with the bike causing serious injury to Nataraj. His son was taken to hospital with bruising on both legs. Nataraj died on the way to the hospital.
Following the complaint lodged by his wife Revathi, the Annur traffic police have taken steps to arrest Kandaswamy, who caused the accident because of his rash driving. Nataraj's body has been sent to Coimbatore Government Hospital for an autopsy.
