Tirupur: A 96-bed quarantine facility is on the ready for people arriving from other districts and states into Tirupur.
Following the relaxation in the COVID-19 lockdown, movement of people between districts and states has increased. Many visitors arrive into Tirupur everyday from other districts and states. Upon arrival, all of them are investigated and areplaced under quarantine for 14 days as per the recommendation of the District Administration.
"In order to facilitate the accommodation of people arriving into the district from other districts and states, classrooms in Jaivabai Government Higher Secondary school have been set up as a quarantine center, 96 beds have been readied. To help with the testing of those under quarantine, a lab will also be set up", informed Tirupur Health department officials.
