The increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in the district has called for more stringent checks before vehicles and passengers are being let into the district. The number of COVID-19 patients in Coimbatore has increased to 81. To prevent the increase in the spread of the disease, vehicle checks have become more intensive and all vehicles are subject to checks at Chinniampalayam on the Corporation border.
