Fumigation and surveillance being undertaken in Nilgiris due to the spike in COVID-19 cases

In the last three days, 12 people have been identified with COVID-19 in Nilgiris owing to which more than five areas are being fumigated. Thease areas are being monitored by the health department.

The Nilgiris: In the last three days, 12 people have been identified with COVID-19 in Nilgiris owing to which more than five areas are being fumigated. These areas are being monitored by the health department.

After remaining COVID free for 36 days, 12 positives have been identified with COVID-19 in the district since June 15. All the patients have been admitted at the Coimbatore ESI hospital for treatment.



Following this Kulisolai in Ooty, Nallappan street in Coonoor, Vannarapettai, Bikkatty and Selas are being fumigated.



The Corporation, Municipality and Panchayat administrations are all involved in the sanitation work being undertaken.
