Two people from Muthunagar and Nallur, who returned to Tirupur after mandatory airport quarantine have tested positive. They have been traced immediately and taken to ESI hospital.
Another 27-year-old male who has been a resident of Coimbatore for the past year tested positive and has been cross-notified to Tirupur based on Aadhar address.
A 61-year-old female, with travel history, from Udumalpet tested positive too.
All the contacts of the positives have been traced and test samples have been obtained from them.
All the district checkposts in Tirupur district have been fortified for strict surveillance and screening of other returnees from other places.
