Driver harassing school girl in Coimbatore arrested under POCSO
Coimbatore: The Ramanathapuram All Women Police Station has arrested a driver who abducted a school girl and molested her.
The gruesome incident happened in Podanur, Coimbatore. The schoolgirl was staying at a relative's home in Trichy and returned to her hometown due to the lockdown.
Finding that their daughter was missing on June 1, the parents lodged a complaint with the police.
Following this, police investigations revealed that Selvam (32), a driver who lives nearby, abducted the girl and molested her. Police have rescued the student. The criminal has been booked the driver under the POCSO Act.Investigations are on.
