Those who enter Nilgiris without a valid reason face strict action.
The Nilgiris: Although the fifth stage curfew is relaxed, the public are allowed to travel only for essential needs.
Nilgiris district collector Innocent Divya said in a press conference that the police will seize vehicles and take stern action against those who enter the district by misusing the e-pass system at checkpoints and enter the district without a valid reason.
She said social distancing will be strictly followed in buses and the vehicles will operate only after complete disinfection.
