Inebriated man kills construction worker in Coimbatore for chiding him
Coimbatore: The murder of a construction worker who chided an inebriated man for causing inconvenience to the public has shocked everyone in the area. Sennaiyan (42), son of Samikannu from Nallampalayam, Coimbatore lived in the area with his wife and two children.
Ashok Kumar, son of Sokkan, from the same area was arguing with his mother and neighbours in an inebriated state last night. On hearing the commotion, Sennaiyan, who was asleep, came out of his house to inquire what was happening. He found Kumar quarrelling with his uncle and the residents of the area.
Allegedly, he also attacked and injured Sennaiyan's motherWhen it came to this, an argument ensued between Ashok Kumar and Sennaiyan and there was a heated exchange between the tow. Subsequently, people nearby confined Ashok Kumar to a house in the same area. Infuriated at this, he broke free from the house and assaulted Sennaiyan with a knife and in the blinkof an eye.
Subsequently, Sennaiyan's neighbours retrieved him and sent him to the Government Hospital in Coimbatore by ambulance where the doctors said he arrived dead. Thudiyalur police have registered a case and investigations are on. The cops are also on the lookout for Ashok Kumar who fled the scene of the gory crime.
