The said wire broke free and fell near the Collectorate Post Office while the other end hung precariously near the wheels of a vehicle. The police and home guards stationed at the District Collectorate noticed this and quickly cordoned off the area.Immediately after, the public were asked to use alternate routes and the EB office was informed.
EB workers rushed to the spot and disconnected electricsupply to the area and are now involved in the repair activities.
