Fire breaks out at a godown in Kuniamuthur
Coimbatore: Fire broke out at an old godown in JJ Nagar garden in Kuniamuthur here, on Sunday night.
No casualties have been reported.
Seeing thick smoke billowing out of the godown which had piles of coconut shells dumped, the residents of the area alerted the fire service.
Due to heavy breeze, the flames rose higher and thus damaged the electric lines. After fighting over an hour, the fire tenders atlast doused the fire. The trigger for the fire is yet to be ascertained.
The fire accident created tense moments among the residents.
