Coimbatore: Tamilnadu CM Edappadi Palanisamy has tweeted requesting the support of the industries and businesses during these trying times and said, "Industries and businesses will reopen in tough times. They must therefore abide by the rules laid out by the government completely. The government requests the cooperation of all the people in ensuring the industrial development and job security."

"The scheme offering instant loans to MSMEs without collateral security has been allotted Rs.200 crores as announced on March 31 under the CORUS scheme. Until today 799 MSMEs have been granted Rs.102 crores loan", he said.

He further said, "The TN government has written to the Union Finance minister requesting SIDBI to grant the required amount to the TIIC in order to provide the loans to businesses. The government is keen to make use of this opportunity to improve the benefits to the MSMEs.
