Husband absconding after stabbing wife

Sakthi and Hemalatha have been married for 12-years. The couple have a seven-year-old daughter and a three-year-old son. A difference in opinion resulted in the couple staying separately for the last six months. This morning while Hemalatha was returning to her residence she was brutally attacked by Sakthi who absconded after attacking her.

Several members of the public who watched Hemalatha (the pedestrian) being attacked near VOC nagar rushed a grievously injured Hemalatha to the Government Hospital (GH). She is currently undergoing treatment at this hospital. In the meantime, the Thudiyalur police have registered a case in this regard and a search is on for Sakthi.
