Coimbatore: In an attempt to woo entrepreneurs and industrialists from Coimbatore to start business in their country, a delegation headed by Ambassador of Kazakhstan to India, Yerlan Alimbayev, had an interaction with industrialists here on Monday.

In the session organised by the Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industries Coimbatore (ICCIC), at the ICCIC campus, Yerlan Alimbayev said that Kazakhstan was growing as one of the leading industrial hubs in Central Asia, having been ranked the 25th nation supportive for business ventures in the whole world.

Yerlan Alimbayev stated that in order to ease transport woos between India and Kazakhstan, the Kazakh Government was considering ways to increase air connectivity and also improve the road and train connectivities, with the help of neighbouring countries.

Talking about the various entrepreneurial opportunists in his country, he stated that the mineral wealth of Kazakhstan had given a huge boost to their mining industries, adding that Indian companies could partner in ventures such as those.

Aigul Nuralina, the Director of the Kazakhstan International Company, which is run by the Government and controls the Kazakh invest initiative, said that the company would help Indian entrepreneurs meet with potential business partners and conduct feasibility studies for projects previously proposed and new ventures.

She said that the country was already patronising well established business models with high quantities of export in fields such as agriculture, meat production, transport, vegetable oil production and sugar production. An office of Kazakh invest is to be opened in India.

The delegation later answered the queries of industrialists on transit visa and business establishments.

The event was held as a part of the South India tour of the Ambassador’s office to increase business ties between India and Kazakhstan.

President of ICCIC C.Lakshminarayanasamy and Vice President Rajesh B. Lund and other members were present.
