Coimbatore: Justice Radhika of the District Mahila Court here granted three day police custody for Manikandan (30), the main accused in the case of alleged sexual assault of a 17-year-old Coimbatore girl.
Earlier, the Mahila Court ordered judicial custody for Manikandan upto December 17. Upon request by the police to grant permission to take custody of him for further inquiry, Justice Radhika granted three-day police custody.
Among the six accused, Manikandan who is regarded to be the prime accused surrendered before the District Mahila Court on December 2. All others have been arrested and remanded.
