In view of that, Coimbatore's PSG Hospital held a mock drill on 10th Indian Organ donation day which is observed by the Ministry of health and family welfare on November 27 of every year.

The mock drill was aimed to raise awareness among the staff involved in organ donation and the public. As 'time' plays a very crucial role in transporting the harvested organs to the recipient's hospital, the City Police had roped in with PSG hospitals to show their support for the nobel cause.

A green corridor between PSG hospitals and the City airport was created on Wednesday and a mock drill of transporting the organs from the airport to PSG hospital within four minutes was executed.

The public were also sensitised on the importance of organ donation and who it can give lease of life to six people.
