Coimbatore: The police have filed FIR on four people for allegedly slandering a Woman AIADMK party cadre, Sonali Pradeep.
Recently, a sleazy news about Minister SP Velumani along with Sonali Pradeep was published in a news website. It was also alleged that pictures of the woman cadre was also wrongly projected in social media by some miscreants.
Following a joint complaint by her and Balaganesan District Correspondent of the daily, at Saibaba Colony police station, the police arrested Raghupathi, a DMK member from Erode 20th Ward for his involvement in defaming the woman party cadre and the Minister.
He was arrested on November 26 and was booked under the Prevention of Violence Against Women Act and remanded.
Today, Saibaba Colony police have filed defamation case on three more people - Sabir Khan, Rashya Abdul Wakhab, Commander Patel for spreading slanderous messages on social media.
