Addressing the media on a parking charge allegation at coimbatore railway station, Traffic Ramasamy said "It is the duty of the railways to safeguard the vehicles of the passengers. Instead imposing additional charges on passengers is unfair. The incident has provoked me to file a petition at the court to cancel the government order."
He accused that the parking contractors at Coimbatore railway station are collecting Rs. 20 instead of Rs. 10 for two-wheelers and Rs.100 instead of Rs. 50 for four-wheelers. "Though they give receipts for the said amount, they daringly are violating their contract and the railways have failed to question them", he accused.
