Coimbatore: The year-end training camp for the two Tamil Nadu Artillery National Student Forces Unit (2 (TN) BTY NCC), operating in the Coimbatore district, headed by its Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Girish Pardhan is being held between November 21 to 30 at PSG Arts and Science College here.

Over 500 NCC students from Coimbatore Government College, PSG Arts College, Bishop Appasamy College, St. Anthony's High School, Ondipudur Government Higher Secondary School, Devanga Higher Secondary School, Selvapuram Municipal Higher Secondary School, KK Naidu Higher Secondary School, Dharapuram Vivekam Higher Secondary School, SSVM are being trained at the camp.
Soldiers Yadav, Murthy, Palwan Singh, Manikandan, Ramji, Pandiyan, and NCC officers - G. Albert Alexander, Sudhakar, Zakir Hussain, Antony, Kamaraj, Sathya Prakash, Felix are involved in training the students.
As part of the training, students were given military training, team training, shooting training, disaster management training, first aid training, night patrol, map reading, personality training and tent training.
Prizes will be awarded to the NCC students following sports competitions, especially soccer, kabaddi competition, hockey, long-distance racing, sniper competition, parade and cultural competition. Social services such as Swachh Bharat, AIDS Awareness Rally, Tree planting Festival, Blood Donation and Optometry Camp were also held as part of the program.
On the final day of the program, a mega parade, gun drill, and the valedictory ceremony will be held, a release said.
