Coimbatore: A six-foot long 'Peacock bass' fish which was kept for sale at a fish stall in Mettupalayam (MTP) garnered the attention of the people who opined that it's the first time they were seeing a Peacock bass of this size.

Venkatesh, runs a fish stall near Meenakshi bus stop in Mettupalayam, here. He has been in business for the past ten and has been selling fish from Thoothukudi.
This morning, he was taken by surprise after a load of fresh fishes arrived this from Thoothukudi. "I was surprised to see a six-foot-long fish named 'Mayil'. The fish has a sharp nose and is very seasonal. The fish weighed 20 kilograms", said Venkatesan.
Right from morning, the people who heard of the news are visiting Venkatesan's shop to see the fish and click pictures.
