Coimbatore: At the Chief Minister's Special Grievance Camp held at Singanallur here on Thursday, Minister SP Velumani distributed welfare measures worth Rs. 8.91 crore to 2,366 beneficiaries.
Coimbatore: At the Chief Minister's Special Grievance Camp held at Singanallur here on Thursday, Minister SP Velumani distributed welfare measures worth Rs. 8.91 crore to 2,366 beneficiaries.
The Chief Minister's Special Grievance Camp was held at various places in the city including Singanallur, Varadarajapuram and Karambukkadai. The public submitted petitions to the Minister relating to patta, old age pension and others.
The Minister provided Social welfare assistance worth Rs 2.09 crore to 1751 beneficiaries, Rs.35.5 lakh worth accidental insurance to 39 beneficiaries, Rs.31.25 lakhs worth subsidy for Amma two-wheeler scheme to 125 beneficiaries, Rs. 1.01 crore worth financial assistance to 80 beneficiaries.of self help groups, spectacles, maternity allowance to 57 beneficiaries by minorities and backward class department, Rs. 2.05 lakhs worth assistance to 41 beneficiaries of Muslim women self-help group, Rs. 4 lakh worth sewing machine was provided to 80 beneficiaries by the Social welfare department.
On behalf of Horticulture department, he provided Rs. 40,000 welfare assistance to two beneficiaries, Rs.26 lakh worth loans were provided to seven beneficiaries through Coimbatore Co-operative bank, Rs. 1.20 lakhs to ten pensioners, Rs.2.82 crores worth power loom, coconut grinding machines to two beneficiaries, 86 beneficiaries were provided with property tax name transfer and new water connection, Rs. 50,000 worth drainage equipment to 12 sanitary workers, Rs. 60 lakhs worth welfare assistance and ration card to 50 beneficiaries, Rs. 1.36 crore worth assistance to 2,366 beneficiaries were distributed on behalf of Slum Clearance Board.
District Collector, K. Rajamani, legislators PRG Arun Kumar, OK Chinnaraj, VC Arukutty, Amman K. Arjunan, VP Kandasamy, Corporation Commissioner Sravan Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Prassana Ramasamy, District Revenue Officer Ramathurai Murugan, Tamil Nadu State Rural Livelihood Movement (Women's Project) Selvaraju, Minorities and Backward Welfare officer Manimozhi, Thasildhar (South) Devendran and other government officials were present.
