Coimbatore: The Thadagam police filed a petition at the District Sessions Court seeking custody of Maoist Deepak.
Maoist Deepak who was arrested by the Tamil Nadu Special Task Force (STF) is presently receiving treatment at the Coimbatore Government Hospital. Subsequently, the police have filed a petition at the Coimbatore District Sessions Court seeking custody of Maoist Deepak for interrogation.
The Chief Sessions Court Justice, Sakthivel heard out the senior lawyer of Maoist Deepak, Advocate Bhavani B Mohan who alleged that the police had not given him permission to meet Deepak and speak. Justice Sakthivel allowed the lawyers to talk with Maoist Deepak and advised his lawyers to file an answer to the petition in the afternoon, after visiting Maoist Deepak at the hospital.

Following this, Deepak who was being treated in the NICU is being shifted to the Prisoners Treatment Unit.
