To mark his birth anniversary, a lecture 'G.V. Endowment Oration' was organised in which more than 300 students took part.
Addressing at the event, Prof.K. Ramasubramanian, IIT, Bombay gave a lecture on the topic "Science in Ancient India". He also commended G. Varadaraj and PSG Institutions for their contribution to the society.
Speaking about Science in Ancient India he added that, "Science is not only about experimenting external facts but Science is dealing with internal facts too. Science refers to a body of systematized knowledge about various aspects of nature around us and such systematized knowledge is known as 'Sastras'.
He further added that, "The present education system and perception should be changed, as the system has made us develop a certain sense of inferiority complex. Students should aspire to know something new rather than just gathering information and reading".
Others present at the event were, P.V. Mohan Ram, Principal of PSG iTech and S Ramalingam, Dean PSG IMS R.
