Pollachi Sex Scandal: Madras high court revokes Goondas act on Thirunavukarasu and Sabarirajan

Chennai: The Madras High Court has revoked the Goondas act imposed on Thirunavukarasu and Sabari Rajan, the main accused of Pollachi sex scandal case.

Chennai: The Madras High Court has revoked the Goondas act imposed on Thirunavukarasu and Sabari Rajan, the main accused of Pollachi sex scandal case.

Thirunavukarasu, Sabari Rajan, Vasanth Kumar and Sathish were arrested in connection with the case in which more than 50 women were allegedly lured and sexually harassed by a gang who even recorded the act and blackmailed them for money.

Earlier, District Collector K.Rajamani had ordered the four youth to be arrested under the Goondas Act. Meanwhile, Mother of Sabari Rajan and Thirunavukarasu filed a case against this in the Madras High Court. 

After hearing the case, the Madras High Court on Friday revoked the Goondas act booked on Thirunavukarasu and Sabari Rajan. It has been reported that the Goondas act upon the two convicts is repealed due to the lack of evidence.
