Coimbatore: The parents of the Class 4 student of Kendriya Vidhyalaya who was thrashed by senior students of the school had petitioned the District Collector on Friday demanding action on the school.

Enraged by the inaction of the police and the school administration, the parents of the school met the district Collector K. Rajamani in person and petitioned their grievance and urged action on the school for handling the issue callously.
Gokulraj, is a resident of Siddhapudur. His daughter is a class IV student of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Sowripalayam. Meanwhile, a few days back his daughter was brutally thrashed by fellow students from the school. The girl who sustained severe injuries was admitted at a private hospital and was diagnosed with fractured bones close to her eye.
When Gokulraj complained about the issue to the school administration, the school allegedly did not respond properly. Following which, he filed a complaint at the Peelamedu police station.
Irked by the inaction of the school administration, Gokulraj who had already filed a complaint at the District Collector office sometime back, has now petitioned the District Collector K.Rajamani that the Principal of the school is acting in favour of the students who assaulted his daughter instead of taking stern action them.
