Coimbatore CBI Court convicts Canara Bank Manager and 12 others in bank fraud case

Coimbatore : Special judge for CBI cases, N. Nagarajan on Thursday convicted 12 bank officials including the Branch Manager of Canara Bank (Erode) in a bank fraud case and awarded two years imprisonment.


Coimbatore : Special judge for CBI cases, N. Nagarajan on Thursday convicted 12 bank officials including the Branch Manager of Canara Bank (Erode) in a bank fraud case and awarded two years imprisonment. 

According to reports, in the year 2002, Angamuthu, Branch Manager of Canara Bank in Erode along with 12 other staff were charged for defrauding Rs.1.54 crore.

CBI Judge, N. Nagarajan today sentenced all the 12 people with two years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs. 4.23 lakh.
